Time and Place DCAC workshops take place every other Saturday from 10-12pm at our gallery location, 754 P St., on the corner of Inyo and P in downtown Fresno. Our workshop dates are as follows: April 2010: 10th BBBS Calendar
Fees Our price point for the session is 20.00 per person or a donation of like value. Donations include, paint, canvases, or materials used in various workshops. We have a list of needed items posted. If you have a special circumstance, please speak to one of our core members. July Workshops Create Your Life Story Through photography, collage and other creative elements students will transfer the story of their life into a work of art. Students will use a variety of elements to demonstrate who they are and how they have become a special individual. The final outcome will be shared with others, or kept for one’s own learning experience. Free and Guided Painting Students will be allowed to express their emotions through unguided free painting using acrylic, latex and oil paint on canvas, wood, and tile. Also, for those who prefer to have guidance, a core artist will teach a method of painting focusing on a famous artist, a particular technique, or an underlining principle. Small Scale Sculpture With a method we call scrap-o-matic, students use hot glue and objects ranging from buttons to bottles to build a design of architecture of free form sculpture with the guidance of a volunteer and/or a core artist.
